How to Check if Your Bra Fits Properly
Band Fit
- Band should be snug but not tight - you should be able to fit two fingers underneath
- Band should stay in place when you raise your arms
- Band should be level all the way around - not riding up in the back
Cup Fit
- Breast tissue should be fully contained in the cups with no spillage
- Center gore (between cups) should lie flat against your sternum
- Straps should not dig into your shoulders
When to Replace Your Bras
Time
Replace bras every 6-12 months with regular wear, or sooner if you notice signs of wear.
Visible Signs
Look for stretched bands, worn elastic, broken hooks, or misshapen cups as indicators it's time for a replacement.
Fit Changes
Replace bras if your body has changed significantly or if the bra no longer provides proper support.
Caring for Your Bras

- Avoid bleach, fabric softeners, and dry cleaning
- Air dry - never put bras in the dryer
Storage Tips
- Store bras flat or stacked without crushing the cups
- Rotate your bras to allow elastic to recover between wears
- Use bra bags when machine washing if necessary
